A Reminder …

Rest your heart for a while, be kind to yourself. Let yourself feel enough to remember, enough to learn, but never too much for it to be so heavy it’s all you can carry. Take your time, take a breath, and hold on to what will come …

The truth about heartbreak is that it’s an inevitable part of life; but as disheartening as that may seem, nestled within that inevitability, frequently forgotten, remains the fact that you’re surrounded by those who’ve survived it. Many people can support you and act as a reminder that you will recover, you will heal, and you can rebuild.

Poem by Molly from Transatlantic Notes called ’A Reminder’: “You will heal, I promise. Heartbreak is not forever. Remember that.”

No matter what has caused your heart to ache; a loss of love, a change in circumstances or upheaval of any kind, there will be a place where you get to rest and recharge enough to heal. It may seem like it’s never going to get better, but take it from someone whose heart has shattered — it does.

Share this with anyone who may need it. Let them know you see their struggles.

  1. Thank you for this! Recently I went through a terrible “situation” – ship and I thought I lost myself completely but being surrounded by loved ones helped push me through. – Josie xxx
