Homemade Pizza Sauce

Raise your homemade pizza-making game with this outrageously simple and delectable pizza sauce. It uses ingredients you’re likely to have in your kitchen already and keeps well in the refrigerator and freezer …

(makes approx 16oz of sauce)

x1 15oz can diced tomatoes

x1 garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1. | Put all the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth.

2. | Yep, that’s really all you need to do!

Store in an airtight container either in the refrigerator for up to a week (bring to room temperature before using as it will thicken) or in the freezer for up to a month (defrost completely before using).

When ready to use, no need to heat it up, just spread it over your pizza base when having pizza night at home.

Let me know if you make this and how it turns out!

  1. This is awesome and so easy. I like easy recipes. They are the best kind. I recently started making my own pizza dough in my breadmaker. I might have to try the homemade sauce, homemade dough combination! Thanks.

  2. Hi Molly. Great recipe (although I’ll skip the garlic – we hate each other!). Out of interest, do you make your own pizza bases too?
