Anxiety, stress, depression or grief sometimes would have you believe that the weight of what you are holding is too much to carry, that you will break if you dare to begin to release what sits so heavy on your soul.
Don’t listen to it. Don’t let yourself question your own strength when things get really hard to deal with, but also don’t let it keep you silent when you need help the most. Those around you are ready with broad shoulders, love and a reminder of all that’s good and worthy — all that is uniquely you.
I wrote this poem as I face my own battle with anxiety that has me gripped by the throat. Seeing someone you love so deeply go through a battle with late-stage cancer is relentlessly cruel. Sometimes it’s hard to see beyond that cruelty and remember that joy and kindness are always present. I then realized that so many of us must feel like this, for many different reasons, so whatever it is that you’re going through, I wrote this for you.

This was really exceptionally beautiful and made me feel a little more safe, anxiety’s been getting the better of me lately, it’s nice to remember I’m not alone in those feelings

Thank you — it can be so hard to articulate sometimes what we go through with anxiety, etc so I wanted to reach out & let people know they are not alone. I’m sending love to you as you navigate what you’re dealing with.

Thank you so much for sharing this heart felt post ♥️ I have struggled with anxiety since the age of 11 and it is no easy task. But when I started being open about my flaws and accepting the love and help from others, I began to heal and find healthy coping mechanisms. Sending you lots of love!
