More To Come: Letting Love In (Poem)

It can be easy to believe that something we’re working through or struggling with won’t get any better; that the weight we’re carrying will only become heavier. It can feel like things may never blossom, improve, or be fulfilled; but we haven’t overcome everything that’s crossed our path so far for this to be where opportunity, growth and love stops. There are more beneficial things to come.

We should regularly show ourselves compassion; life can be strenuous enough without allowing any moments of respite. Our needs frequently take a backseat when times are troublesome so it’s critical we hold on to all the things that nourish us physically, mentally and emotionally.

A poem by Molly from Transatlantic Notes called, ’More To Come’ that reads: You deserve to see how much more love will come your way.

If you know someone who is struggling with something, don’t wait for them to reach out for help and support — chances are they won’t. Check on them and determine what you can do to alleviate some of the strain; remind them that they deserve to experience the love and joy that will come after the challenges and upheavals have eased.

What do you do to take care of yourself?

  1. Coincidentally, today I came across a friend who was going through a really bad depressive episode since she couldn’t ace her exams due to the pandemic. And, I knew she isn’t paying attention to my words of comfort and I am constantly talking to her, and luckily she is feeling better by emptying out her heart to me. It is indeed extremely important to check up on your loved ones, especially in times of a pandemic, which has been hard on all of us.
