Quotes For Life, Love & Transformation

Every so often life creates challenges, roadblocks and difficulties — but it can also reveal opportunities, fresh starts and alternative perspectives. Change of any kind can be difficult to navigate, leaving us uncertain or in need of some motivation that uplifts us.

Periodically we happen upon some words of wisdom that soothe us as we gather our resolve and slowly exhale the heaviness that we carry. Discovering something that provides a reason to smile or communicate our stories is invaluable. We can all learn from each other.

Here are six quotes by some brilliant writers who harness their creative power to spread strength, knowledge and hopefulness into the world. These writers are vulnerable, raw, honest and profound …

a light peach background with simple typeface font with a poem by morgan harper nichols that reads: Letting go is a practice. Sating "goodbye" and leaving old things behind does not instantly create ease in the mind. Letting go is a lifelong journey of cultivating a posture of trusting: "I do not know where tomorrow will lead but through surrender, I soften into trusting: there will still be love. There will still be peace"

poem by cleo wade that reads: The best thing about your life is that it is in a constant state of design. This means you have, at all times, the power to redesign it. Make moves, allow shifts, smile more, do more, do less, say no, say yes. Just remember when it comes to your life, you are not just the artist but the masterpiece as well.

It can be challenging to let something/someone go, especially if we think they offer some kind of grounding, direction or purpose. There may come a moment when we realize what we’re holding onto has essentially prevented us from experiencing new, revitalizing opportunities; we’re ready for a new beginning. Whatever our reasoning, once we feel that shift from an internal call for transformation, it’s time for us to embrace it and see where it leads.

poem by danica gim that reads: Why rush the process, look how the tress grow, slow and steady the furture will come when it's ready.

poem by alison malee that reads: you have always been worth loving

I’m certain that many of us at one time or another have felt like we should be further ahead in our endeavours; that the progress we’re working on is taking too long or seems to be on a divergent path. It can be difficult to feel comfortable or love ourselves if we’re always looking ahead. But we need to make sure we see ourselves reflected back in the progress we make, otherwise we lose our reason why. It’s healthy to grow and maintain goals as we take stock of all that we’ve achieved and learned.

arrirmations by alex elle reads: I can leave a relationship and still miss the person I left, I can show up + be kind and still exercise healthy boundaries, I can change for the better and still have work to do, I can love a person deeply and still keep them at a distance, I can heal from my past and still wish things were different, I can outgrow people and still want the best for them, I can rest + recharge and still be productive, I can grieve and still welcome joy.

poem by rupi kaur that reads: You do not just wake up and become the butterfly. Growth is a process.

If you haven’t done so already, I’d highly recommend familiarising yourself with the work of these incredible creators; finding some more of their words that will inspire, soothe, motivate and you.

  5. I love the first quote by Danica Gim! I’ve always struggled with the results of my work. I always gave up on all my ideas and myself so quickly in the past. In 2020, I’ve been leaning towards a”trusting the process” mindset and it’s helped me so much! xo
