It can be challenging to let something/someone go, especially if we think they offer some kind of grounding, direction or purpose. There may come a moment when we realize what we’re holding onto has essentially prevented us from experiencing new, revitalizing opportunities; we’re ready for a new beginning. Whatever our reasoning, once we feel that shift from an internal call for transformation, it’s time for us to embrace it and see where it leads.
I’m certain that many of us at one time or another have felt like we should be further ahead in our endeavours; that the progress we’re working on is taking too long or seems to be on a divergent path. It can be difficult to feel comfortable or love ourselves if we’re always looking ahead. But we need to make sure we see ourselves reflected back in the progress we make, otherwise we lose our reason why.
