Promise Of A New Day

When we question where life is taking us or we feel adrift without direction, it can be overwhelming and set off bouts of anxiety and stress. This then feeds into everything we do and how we approach our day; sometimes wondering where our purpose lies.

If you feel that establishing a renewed path in life is out of reach, or your energy is so depleted that you cannot find joy in the things you once did — you are not alone. This poem is a reminder for anyone who needs it: you are connected, you hold value and meaning, and you will overcome what is to be faced. You can flourish and thrive; there’s always the promise of a new day.

A poem by Molly from Transatlantic Notes called, ’Promise of a New Day’ that reads: You are the soft light of morning; the promise of a new day. You are fragrant mists and birdsong; you are rivers, moss and clay. You are everything you need to be; you are nourishment seed and sun. There is purpose in your rising; the time to thrive has come.

Nothing needs to be done perfectly; there will be setbacks as well as great strides. Each morning represents a fresh start, an opportunity to try again or seek out something new — or just allow yourself to heal. Never forget you are resilient and capable and hold the knowledge, intuition and experience to guide yourself throughout each day.

  1. “There is a purpose in your rising” – what a beautiful line, Molly. You’re right, sometimes things won’t go to plan but that really doesn’t matter. We never know how our presence and actions can help others so there’s always a purpose in getting up to face the day x
