Highlight Other Bloggers

If you don’t already implement this through monthly ad slots; share five blogs/bloggers that you feel people should know about/support. It’s a great way to show appreciation for the writing community.

Summarize Your Best Posts

Round up which of your blog posts were the most popular with your readers or that represent your personal favourites.

Join A Blogging Tag

Blog tags usually nominate writers to join in, but they are frequently extended to anyone who wants to take part. They provide a guide to what you’re writing about and are an invaluable opportunity to connect with fellow bloggers.

Facts About You

Answer some FAQ that your readers/followers have asked or share some interesting things about yourself that people may not know.

Share A Life Lately List

This list can encompass any aspect of your everyday life; books you’ve read, what you’ve been watching (TV/movies); exercise routines, favourite foods — anything you can think of!

Social Media Highlights

Get people interested in following your social media accounts by sharing a round up of your most recent photos, reels/TikToks, stories, vlogs and tweets, etc.

What I Wish I Knew Before …

Explore what you have learned from an experience (you could write about what you wish you knew before you started blogging, travelling, working or becoming a parent, etc.); offer some advice for those in a similar situation.

Use A Writing Prompt

Find a journaling or writing prompt that works for you and share your answer to it in a blog post; they can offer an excellent source of creativity.

Recommendations

List things that you rate highly; it can be books, what to watch on streaming services, computer games, food to sample, make-up brands — literally anything and everything!

Top 5 Distractions

Write about some activities that offer a positive distraction when needed; include the things you enjoy doing that help with relaxation.

Life Advice That Made An Impact

If you’ve been offered some advice about life that really resonated with you; delivering a beneficial and significant impact, write about what it was and the difference it has made.

Life Hack

No matter what the subject matter is, if you’re notably skilled at creating something, can simplify activities or expertly perform a task many people struggle with; provide a ‘how to’ that will make life easier for your readers.

Guess The Truth

For something a little fun; write four lies about yourself and one truth; invite your readers to leave a comment about which one they believe to be the truth. You can even have a vote on your social media (revealing the answer a few days later).

Create A Motto

Come up with a motto for what you’re focusing on achieving this year (or any other time frame). Explore the reasoning behind it and any goals you are working towards.

Writing content isn’t always easy, especially if time is limited; but if it’s essential something is published, these relatively quick and easy blog post ideas should provide some guidance. 3. I really appreciate this post. March has turned out to be a tough one for me. I am trying to build content on my blog while diversifying my efforts elsewhere and that’s already slowed me down. Then life happened and threw me off balance in a big way. I am having a tough time rebounding and finding what to write next. This is such a great jumping off point that I am incredibly thankful for.

  16. These are great ideas! I must admit, knowing that blog posts are ideally meant to be over 1,000 words for SEO purposes is pretty daunting. Sometimes, I have neither the time, or I’m not in the headspace to write that amount. Going to try life lately lists!
